Favorite things to do outside of the office: Fitness and spending time with my family! Over the last few years, I have been on a quest to become healthier and more active. In doing so, I’ve included my family to be apart of my favorite fitness activities; riding bikes and jogging!

How has your background impacted your experience as a consultant? As a trainer in previous roles, I’ve trained end users on various applications. I understand that customers are nervous and slightly anxious when using new applications. With this understanding, I’m sure to prepare customers with the training, tools and resources needed to work independently after the project is over.

What’s a typical workday like for you? I begin my morning with a 10-minute meditation session. Its important for me to prepare mentally for the day. Next, there are daily project status meetings, where my team discuss task completions, concerns and upcoming milestones. There are also client meetings to discuss and confirm requirements, answer questions and provide best practice solutions. Our internal team members are very collaborative. I often answer questions via team chats, as well as ask my own! My day typically ends by preparing for the next day. I’ll review upcoming meetings and follow-up on emails.

As part of a team that works 100% virtually, what technology or collaboration tools do you use to make your work life easier? In addition to using Zoom, ArcLight has done a great job in creating Teams chat groups based on module. My team and I have a great level of expertise and it’s a wonderful way to share our knowledge. I’ll also utilize Oracle’s resources, such as Customer Connect and Customer Support to review solutions provided by other clients.

What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day? My family is my motivation. Each morning, my children wake up energized, positive, and ready to take on new learning challenges. Children live care-free, laugh often, and simply enjoy life. It brings me joy to see them happy. They inspire me to do well every day!

What kind of work have you been doing? I’m currently implementing the Onboarding module, which includes pre-hire and post-hire tasks for new employees. I also assist with training new ArcLight analysts and supporting ArcLight Care requests from customers.

Where do you see the benefits? I love the opportunity to be involved with so many various projects. My personal development goal of learning all of the Oracle modules is supported because I accept challenges. A typical day comes with many opportunities to learn and support our customers.
