Low Impact

Feature Enablement

Redwood Features

25D Update Features Covered:
- Redwood Experience
- Display Optional Regions in Compact Guided Process Redwood Template Pages
- Redwood Experience for HCM Data Loader
- Automated Maintenance of Stage Tables
1. Redwood Experience
Oracle further develops Redwood capabilities in the 25D HCM Common release. Notable updates include the rollout of Redwood UI for the HCM Data Loader work area and enhancements to the handling of optional regions on certain pages. Additionally, Redwood Payroll and Payroll Flow Security Profile pages will be enabled by default beginning with the 25D update.

2. Display Optional Regions in Compact Guided Process Redwood Template Pages
Quick Notes:
Optional regions can now be displayed automatically for Redwood Compact Guided Process (CGP) template pages, including processes such as Hire an Employee or Add Assignment. Regions marked as both “Optional” and “Visible” in Configure Fields and Regions (Express Mode in VB Studio) when “Info to Include” is hidden will now appear automatically. This enhancement reduces manual effort for end-users by streamlining and simplifying the workflow.

3. Redwood Experience for HCM Data Loader
Quick Notes:
The Import and Load Data page is now available in Redwood, built using Visual Builder Studio (VBS). Using this application, users can import and load local files, schedule file imports from Oracle WebCenter, monitor file load progress, and review errors. Encompassed pages, such as Import and Load Data Parameters, Business Object Details, and Failed Object Messages are also updated to the Redwood UI.
Steps to Enable:
Set the following profile option(s) to Yes:
- ORA_HRC_HDL_INT_SPEC_REDWOOD_ENABLED

4. Automated Maintenance of Stage Tables
Quick Notes:
A new configuration parameter and automated process are available to help users maintain HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL) staging tables. When running HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL), the system will check for a schedule of the Delete HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader Stage Table Data process and create one to run automatically if it does not exist. Previously, expired HSDL data sets stored in HDL staging tables were deleted through the Delete HCM Data Loader Stage Table Data job.
This new process utilizes the Days to Retain Data Sets Before Deleting parameter, which can be adjusted on the Configure HCM Data Loader page. The default value is set to 60 days. This enhancement makes maintaining HSDL staging tables more efficient and consistent.
