1. Redwood: Managers Assign and View Goals for Indirect Reports

As a manager, you can now view goals of your indirect reports. Navigate to your Team Goals Center page and then click the Switch Team button.

You can see a list of your reports across your active assignments who are also managers. Note that the managers listed on this panel aren’t dependent on the business title you selected on the Employees page. Select the manager whose team you want to view.

You’ll see the reports of the selected manager listed on your employee’s page. The goal counts shown are for the team that you’re currently viewing. Click an indirect report’s name to view the Goals page of that person.

To assign a goal to your indirect reports from the Employees page, click Assign Goal when viewing your direct reports or when viewing your indirect reports after clicking the Switch Team button. You can also include the manager of the indirect reports in the goal assignment.

Enhance your goal management process by viewing and assigning goals to your indirect reports. This way, you can manage the goals of your indirect reports when their manager is on leave.

Steps to Enable

To enable Redwood Goals Center, you need to enable the profile options indicated in the table.

2. Redwood: Manager Takes Action on Multiple Performance Goals

Managers can now share or assign more than one of their performance goals. They need to select the goals and then select the Share or Assign action.

Share and Assign Actions

Managers can select any of these persons to share their goals:

  • Any person in the organization
  • Anyone in their team (Their direct and dotted line reports)
  • Direct reports
  • Dotted line reports.

When assigning goals, managers can opt to allow the assignees to edit the goal definition. They can select any of these persons to assign their performance goals:

  • Anyone in their team (Their direct and dotted line reports)
  • Direct reports
  • Dotted line reports

The persons who are shared or assigned the goals are notified.

Enhance your goal setting process by sharing or assigning multiple goals.

Tips And Considerations

  • Managers can’t share or assign these goals:
    • Unapproved goals
    • Canceled goals
  • Managers can’t share or assign multiple development goals. They need to share or assign one development goal at a time.

3. Redwood: Goals Center Quick Action for HR Specialists

As HR specialists, you can now easily view and manage goals of people that you have access to. Use the Goals Center quick action under My Client Groups to view your Goals Center page.

You can search for specific employees or apply filters to view persons matching the criteria applied. Click the name of a person to view their Goals page. Here you can view their performance and development goals. You can edit the goals that you have permission to edit. The actions that you can perform on the goals depends on your security profile.

You can also add a goal for the person.

4. Redwood: HR Administrator Work Area Enhancements

HR specialists can now take advantage of these Redwood redesigned features that are now available:

  • Redwood redesigned check person eligibility
  • Ability to add goals when creating a new mass assignment process for performance or development goals
  • Ability to add goals when creating a new goal plan

Redwood Redesigned Check Person Eligibility

When mass assigning performance or development goals or when creating goal plans, HR specialists can use the Redwood redesigned Check person eligibility drawer panel to check a person’s eligibility based on the eligibility criteria added to the mass assignment process or goal plan. HR specialists can identify if the person is eligible for the various eligibility criteria added and their overall eligibility status.

Add Goals When Creating a New Mass Process for Performance or Development Goals

When creating a new mass assignment for performance or development goals or when creating a mass share process for performance goals, HR specialists can now add goals in the Goals section.

5. Redwood: Edit and Delete Goal Progress Notes

You can now edit or delete the notes that you added to your goals. Click the Actions button for the note and then select the Edit or Delete action.

Track your goals better by updating your goal notes or deleting the notes that are no longer relevant.
