  2. Generative AI
  3. Attendance Violations Redwood Page for Managers
  4. Integration of Workforce Schedule Info with Time and Labor Enhancements
  5. Time and Labor Redwood Worker Template Functionality Enhancements

1. Redwood Experience

Redwood is Oracle’s new, comprehensive user interface designed to significantly enhance the user experience. While the Classic UI remains functional for existing customers, Oracle strongly recommends transitioning to the Redwood UI to take full advantage of the latest innovations—particularly those powered by Generative AI.

2. Generative AI

If you’re exploring how Generative AI can bring value to your business, consider looking into AI Agents now available across various Oracle Cloud modules such as Core HR, Onboarding, Recruiting, and Talent Management. AI Agents can be used to improve decision-making, reduce manual tasks, and allow for streamlining operations.

Line Managers and Time and Labor Managers can now efficiently review and manage workers’ attendance violations using the new Attendance Violations page. Based on their data security access, managers can view a list of all attendance violations associated with their workers.

From this page, managers can either Acknowledge or Dismiss each violation:

  • If a violation is Acknowledged, its status changes from Not Reviewed to Allowed, and points may be assigned based on the configured attendance rules.
  • If a violation is Dismissed, its status changes to Dismissed, and no points are assigned to the worker.

This enhancement streamlines attendance management and ensures accurate application of attendance policies.

4. Integration of Workforce Schedule Info with Time and Labor Enhancements

Quick Notes:

Workforce Scheduling data can now be seamlessly integrated when generating time card entries from device events. Time card entries will display key scheduling details, including Shift Location, Shift Department, Shift Job, and the Shift Start and End times.

This information is found using logic that identifies the relevant scheduled shift, which is then used to default related shift attributes for time entries entered into the time collection devices. This new feature enhances the integration between the Workforce Scheduling and Time and Labor applications, enabling an enhanced time tracking experience.

Managers can now create and manage public time card templates that workers can use to simplify their time entry process. Through the Time Card Templates quick action, managers can easily create, edit, or delete public templates.

Templates can be created in two ways:

  1. Based on specific layout sets assigned to workers
  2. By using an existing time card with entries as a model

These templates help streamline time card entry and submission, reducing errors and saving time, ultimately allowing employees to focus on other critical tasks.
