1. Redwood Experience
Redwood is Oracle’s next-generation unified user interface built to enhance the overall user experience. Oracle strongly recommends transitioning to Redwood to take full advantage of the latest innovations – particularly those driven by Generative AI. Update 26C delivers 8 Redwood features across the Payroll modules. Global Payroll highlights include the Personal Payment Methods Enhancement allowing account holder name updates on previously used bank accounts, and a Consolidated Costing Configuration view on Redwood Costing Setup pages. The following Payroll setup pages are now available in the Redwood user experience Element Classification, Consolidation Group and Payment Method Preference pages.
2. Audit Functionality for Costing Setup Pages
Quick Notes:
Oracle HCM Cloud’s latest release brings a significant step forward for Payroll and Finance teams with enhanced audit visibility for costing. You now have a complete, end-to-end view of every change made across your costing setup — capturing what changed, when it changed, and who made the change — without any manual tracking or spreadsheet reconciliation. Audit information is automatically recorded for the creation, update, and deletion of costing data across all key setup levels including payroll, element eligibility, department, location, job, position, payroll relationship, assignment, element entry, and payment source — whether changes are made individually or through bulk upload. Audit reports generated using the Cost Allocation business object give your team instant visibility into costing setup changes, dramatically reducing the time spent investigating discrepancies and strengthening your audit readiness. This feature is automatically enabled, requiring no additional configuration, and delivers immediate transparency and financial accuracy from day one.
3. Redwood Experience: Personal Payment Methods Enhancement
Quick Notes:
Keeping employee bank account details accurate just got easier. Now Oracle allows the account holder’s name to be updated on a bank account even after it has been used in a payment process With this enhancement, the account holder’s name field remains editable and can be updated and saved at any time, while all other fields continue to be protected to maintain payment integrity. This update is available across both the employee self-service and professional user experiences, giving flexibility to employees updating their own details as well as Payroll administrators making corrections on behalf of employees. Please note this feature requires configuration.
4. Review USOPTE Statutory Tax Rules
Quick Notes:
Oracle has introduced Statutory Rules task, providing payroll professionals with a centralized, read-only view of US federal, state, and local payroll tax rules used by the US Oracle Payroll Tax Engine (USOPTE).
This enhancement simplifies payroll calculation reviews and tax jurisdiction analysis by making it easier to verify statutory tax rates, wage bases, deductions, exemptions, limits, and calculation methods—all within Oracle. It also reduces the need to reference external IRS, state, local, or third-party tax resources. No setup is required to use this feature.

5. Review Tax Compliance Updates
Quick Notes:
Oracle has introduced a new Compliance Updates feature that gives payroll administrators better visibility into legislative tax changes used by the US Oracle Payroll Tax Engine (USOPTE).
The feature provides payroll administrators with greater visibility into legislative changes delivered through the Legislative Data Updates process. It includes key information such as:
- The number of employees affected by each update
- The locations where employees are impacted
- The effective dates of the legislative changes
This enhancement helps payroll teams quickly assess the impact of tax updates on employee payroll calculations, improving transparency and supporting more efficient payroll administration.
No action is required to enable this feature—it is available automatically.
