1. Redwood Experience
Redwood is Oracle’s next-generation, unified user interface designed to elevate the overall user experience. While the Classic UI remains available for existing customers, Oracle strongly encourages adopting the Redwood UI to fully leverage the latest innovations – especially those powered by Generative AI.
2. Generative AI
As you explore the potential of Generative AI to drive business value, consider the power of AI Agents now available across key Oracle Cloud modules, including Core HR, Onboarding, Recruiting, and Talent Management. These AI Agents help enhance decision-making, reduce manual workloads, and streamline day-to-day operations – empowering your teams to work smarter and more efficiently.
3. Absence Restriction Editing Rules
Quick Notes:
Oracle has introduced a new editing rule that allows administrators to restrict managers and employees from editing absences after a specified time period or once the absence has been paid. This option, ‘Lock completed absence for updates after,’ is available in the Absence Record Maintenance section when creating or editing an absence type.

4. Recalculates Accrual for Retro-Updates to Timecards
Quick Notes:
Oracle HCM users can now associate an HCM event with an accrual plan to automatically trigger accrual recalculations when a time card is updated in a previous period. This is a valuable enhancement for accrual plans.
Please note that editing rules currently apply only to existing absence records and do not impact time cards. Support for time card-related editing rules is planned for the 25D release.
5. Payroll Update API used for Disbursement Adjustments
Quick Notes:
Previously, when absence disbursements from plans were updated, the Oracle system interfaced changes to payroll by deleting the original disbursement and creating a new transaction. This approach could lead to increased downstream processing and a higher risk of overpayments.
To improve efficiency, a new Update Mode API has been introduced. This API enables updates to be interfaced directly to payroll without deleting and re-creating transactions – streamlining processing and reducing the risk of errors or overpayments.
6. Redwood Experience for Localization Based Absence Cases
Quick Notes:
The localization-based Absence Cases page has been upgraded to the Redwood UI, providing a consistent and modern experience across Redwood-enabled pages. Absence administrators can now access and manage absence cases for localized regions including France, the United Kingdom, and Ireland directly within the Redwood interface.
